Computer vision on Russian software: compatibility of VisionLabs products with RED OS has been confirmed

As a result of tests, compatibility of VisionLabs products based on LUNA Platform and LUNA SDK computer vision technologies with RED OS operating system by RED SOFT has been confirmed. Full compliance with the import substitution policy allows the use of the joint solution in the public sector, including the critical information infrastructure facilities.

VisionLabs products are included in the register of domestic software and are a fully Russian development. LUNA Platform is a computer vision system based on neural networks. It helps to verify and identify a personality, as well as to determine the emotions, gender, age, behavioral items, silhouette, actions, gestures, glance direction, and attributes of clothes.

The LUNA video analytics platform is applicable in various smart city scenarios: from authentication in banking and government services to access control and industrial security systems.

A set of pre-built libraries and neural networks for facial recognition and image analysis, the LUNA SDK by VisionLabs, is also compatible with the RED OS. This allows the companies that use only this operating system to develop and add the necessary video analytics functions to their own services and products.

RED OS is a Russian Linux family operating system for servers and workstations, providing a universal environment for the use of applied software. The product is certified by FSTEC of Russia (#4060 from 12.01.2019), which confirms its compliance with information security requirements and allows its use in government information systems. RED OS is registered in the Unified Register of Russian Software and Databases (#3751).

"In addition to developing own products and implementing projects for the Russian public sector, RED SOFT actively cooperates with partners and expands the RED OS ecosystem. A joint import-independent solution of RED SOFT and VisionLabs, for example, is aimed at ensuring control and security of access using face recognition technology. Such a solution can be implemented everywhere, including at CII facilities", - Rustam Rustamov, Deputy RED SOFT CEO, commented.

"VisionLabs products are based on Russian technologies that meet industry standards of import substitution. Therefore, our partnership with RED SOFT is focused on enabling strategically important entities to use computer vision as a part of fully domestic systems. This will not only allow companies to use our ready-made solutions in the RED OS environment, but also to develop their own scripts - from simple authentication to sophisticated services with recognition of silhouettes, gestures, poses and other human-centric attributes", - Ilya Romanov, Commercial Director at VisionLabs, said.
